If you’re in the mood for a night indoors (with air conditioning and a standing ovation), the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina delivers. “Hairspray: The Broadway Musical” takes the stage in late April and runs into May, followed by special appearances like mentalist Matt Cooper and a summer production of “Mean Girls: The Musical.”
Looking to slow things down a bit? Step into the island’s deeper history with a Gullah Heritage Trail Tour. These guided experiences offer a meaningful look at the culture, language, and traditions of the Gullah people—an essential part of the Lowcountry story.
