Sue Says: Enjoy a Progressive Date Night on Hilton Head
Hilton Head is known as a welcoming vacation destination for families of all sizes, but it’s a perfect getaway for couples too. With so many fantastic local options for wining and dining your sweetie, we turned to our own Sue Hall, who knows a thing or two about planning a romantic evening.
Here’s what Sue says:
Start the evening with cocktails at Fishcamp on Broad Creek. Grab a seat outside if the weather is nice and enjoy the relaxed waterfront atmosphere as you toast to a fun night ahead.
Next, bike over to the Old Oyster Factory for dinner and another beautiful view of the water. If you are in the mood for oysters, you can choose from a variety of preparations, including Rockefeller, Savannah and chargrilled garlic-Parmesan. Maybe skip the garlic-Parmesan if this is a first date.
Despite its name, this delightful restaurant serves much more than oysters. Seafood is the star, but there are plenty of options for land lovers too, including filet mignon and cabernet-braised short ribs.
After dinner, head to Lincoln & South Brewing Company for a nightcap and live music. It’s a fun, laid-back place to relax and spend a little more time together before calling it a night.
OR if you want to end with something sweet head over to Kilwins in Shelter Cove Towne Centre. Choose from ice cream, chocolate or handmade fudge, then take a stroll along the marina beneath the stars. XOXO.

Start at Coast, one of Sue and Jim’s favorite spots. You’ll quickly find out why this waterfront restaurant was named one of the Top 10 Beach Bars by Southern Living. You might catch live music in the early evening, and you can also say hello to Kristin, Amy, Bernardo and Liz, the superstars behind the bar. Kick off the evening with a Hibiscus Harmony or Bloody Orange Honey Bee.
Next, head to the Quarterdeck at Harbour Town and watch the sunset across the water. Try to get a seat with a view of the Harbour Town Lighthouse for added ambiance. While you’re there, enjoy a refreshing aperitif or glass of wine paired with crab dip or a dozen oysters.
